Emergency Response Mobile Flat Tire Repair
Tire Repair & Change Service Edmonton | Flat? We Fix It Roadside
You hit something on the Whitemud Drive. Your tire explodes. You pull onto the shoulder. Traffic flies past. Your spare is in the trunk, but changing a tire in -20°C while cars whiz by isn't safe or fun.
Call 3K Emergency Roadside Service. We'll handle the tire swap on-site. Or assess the damage and advise if it's repairable.
Flat Tire vs. Blowout vs. Slow Leak
Slow Leak
Air loss over days. You notice the tire looks soft. Often it's a small puncture—a nail or screw. These can be plugged or patched. We can often repair on-site if the damage is minor.
Puncture Blowout
You hit road debris. Immediate air loss. The tire collapses or tears. If the damage is a small hole (under 6mm), we can patch. Larger damage means the tire is done. Tire replacement recommended.
Sidewall Damage
The sidewall (the wall of the tire, not the tread) cracks or tears. This can't be safely repaired. The tire must be replaced. Driving on a damaged sidewall is a safety risk.
Our Tire Change Process
Assess
We examine the damage. Small puncture in the tread? Repairable. Sidewall tear? Replace. Blowout? Replace. We explain what you're looking at.
Offer Options
If it's repairable, we quote a patch or plug. If it needs replacement, we explain the situation. You decide: repair, replace, or use your spare and handle it later.
Do the Work
We loosen lug nuts, lift the car, remove the damaged tire, install the spare or replacement, and torque the lugs back down. Takes 20–30 minutes.
Verify Safety
Before you leave, we confirm the spare is secure and properly inflated. We advise on speed and distance limits for spares.
Repair vs. Replacement
Repairable Tires:
Small puncture in tread area (under 6mm). No sidewall damage. Tire tread still has life. We plug or patch. Cost: included in service fee.
Must Replace:
Sidewall damage. Multiple punctures. Tread worn below 2/32 inch. Blowout with large tear. Cost: tire price varies. We don't stock tires but can advise where to buy.
Pricing
Tire change service: $50–$120 depending on location and vehicle type (cars cheaper than large trucks). Surcharges apply for nights and weekends.
After-hours (8pm–6am): +$25–$50
Weekend/holiday: +$50–$100
Can't Fix? We Tow
If the tire damage is severe and you don't have a replacement, we can tow you to a tire shop. Talk to dispatch about towing rates.
Prevention
Check tire pressure monthly. Inspect tread for wear and damage. Replace tires when tread hits 2/32 inch (penny test). Keep a spare and jumper cables in your vehicle.
